PROJECT MANAGER - HARDWARE/FIRMWARE

At Inomo Technologies, we are looking for candidates that have a passion for embedded systems and modern ways of developing them in terms of security and safety.

If you know what it needs to steer a project, consisting of hardware and firmware developing, set up in larger product portfolio, you are the ideal candidate.

The “Project Manager - Hardware/Firmware” is responsible for project management and controlling of our hardware/firmware related projects, including our product development efforts. A tight collaboration with the product management, the sales and the team leaders of the needed resources is required.

This role is a on-site position in Oensingen, Switzerland. Remote work is possible. On-site work is required depending on the status of the development.

In this role you will:

• Lead interdisciplinary projects (Hardware, Firmware, Functional Safety)
• Time and cost management (for specific projects)
• Interface to Sales, Product Management, Team leader (regular reporting)
• Participate on the product feature planning
• Support in requirement management
• Support in creation of Testplans
• Leading of project team (no disciplinary management)
• Directly subordinated to CTO
• Support in HW development topics (testing, product qualification, etc.)
  
  

Desired Skills & Expertise:

• 5+ years of experience in project management in agile environments (SCRUM, SAFE)
• Background in embedded system development (hardware or firmware)
• Enjoy working in cross-functional teams and providing feedback to senior management
• Must be able to think outside of the box, enjoy being challenged to grow your skills, and not be afraid to step outside of your comfort zone
• Experienced with Agile Methodologies (Scrum, Lean, SAFe) and tools such as Jira
  
  

Bonus points if you have:

• Experience with IoT devices (mobile network, GPS)
• Experience in development according to functional safety standards (e.g. ISO26262)
• You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German and are able to present complex technical information clearly and concisely to different audiences
• Demonstrable teamwork skills and resourcefulness
• Possess self-drive to keep moving things forward even in the face of ambiguity and imperfect knowledge (avoid “analysis paralysis”)
• Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive
• Sharp analytical abilities and proven design skills
• Advanced Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, asynchronous architectures
